Crocker Park Wine Festival (Opening Night), Westlake

The 15th annual Crocker Park Wine Festival opens Friday, September 18 from 4:00 to 10:00 PM and continues Saturday, September 19 from 2:00 to 10:00 PM on Main Street at Crocker Park in Westlake. This “sip and stroll” event features 150+ varieties of wine plus craft beer, spirits, live music, and food vendors, with a tasting glass and tasting tickets included with admission. Proceeds benefit University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital. It is the signature Westlake event of the fall season, and tickets are available on the Crocker Park Wine Festival website. Elyria Apple Festival (Opening Day), Elyria

The Elyria Apple Festival runs Friday, September 18 through Sunday, September 20 at Ely Square in downtown Elyria (400 Broad Street), about 20 minutes west of Westlake. Hours are 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM on Friday and Saturday and 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Sunday, with free admission. Expect festival food, live entertainment, corn hole, children’s activities, a Princess Pageant, craft and art vendors, and plenty of apple products. Friday evening brings the Tarp Rocks concert at Ely Square.

Friday Evening in Lakewood and Crocker Park

Before or after the evening events, consider dinner in the Lakewood community, where the Detroit Avenue dining corridor offers a wide range of options. At Crocker Park in Westlake, Bricco, Strip Steakhouse, and Granite City Food & Brewery are all within walking distance of the wine festival. Fall Into Autumn Craft & Vendor Show, Strongsville

The 12th annual Fall Into Autumn Craft & Vendor Show takes place Saturday, September 19, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Ehrnfelt Recreation Center, 18100 Royalton Road, Strongsville. More than 60 local small business vendors offer handmade items, honey, candles, apparel, wood crafts, jewelry, and baked goods, and admission is free. North Union Farmers Market at Crocker Park, Westlake

Saturday morning starts at the North Union Farmers Market at Crocker Park, in the parking lot at Fidelity Investments (1800 Crocker Road, Westlake, OH 44145), running from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Seasonal produce and locally produced foods from Northeast Ohio growers and vendors. Free parking, open rain or shine, and SNAP benefits accepted. Mid-September brings late tomatoes, sweet corn, early apples, and fall squash.

Frostville Farmers Market, North Olmsted

The Frostville Farmers Market runs Saturdays through the fall from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Frostville Museum in the Cleveland Metroparks Rocky River Reservation (24101 Cedar Point Road, North Olmsted, OH 44070). Mapleside Farms Pumpkin Village, Brunswick

Mapleside Farms in Brunswick opens its Pumpkin Village and fall festival season in mid-September and runs through October across its scenic orchard. Sunday Brunch, Beachcliff, and the Metroparks

Sunday is a relaxed day across the West Shore.
